Just Another Day
Hi World!
Just sittin' home tonight and jammin' with some good tunes! It's been a long day at work and I think I deserve a bit of down time. As I sit here pondering things (other than technology - enough of that at work!), I was thinking how awesome it is that right now everything that I am posting could be viewed by anyone at anytime all over the world. Wow...what an awesome thing. Just think, right now someone might be reading this just by stumbling upon this site. I am by no means a writer or even claim to have wonderful and enlightening stories to tell, but I think it is truly amazing that everyone who has access to a computer has that kind of power - the power to express opinion, thoughts, ideas, or just journal.
I often wonder if the thoughts I express here have an affect on people. Has anyone ever heard the song "What if" by Nicole Nordeman? I just love that song because it makes people think. It makes me think about all those people that question the existence of God. I guess people rationalize that it's okay to believe that there isn't a God because then they don't have to accept that there are consequences when you die. I mean, if you don't believe in Hell then it must not exist, right? What if you're wrong? Like the song says "what if he's more that he looks?" (referring to Jesus).
I remember there used to be a comedian that had a bit about being a believer. He said he believed in God "just in case". I'd be inclined to say that there may be a lot of people out there that have that very same mindset. For me, I have many reasons to believe in God. In fact there are so many that it would take several blog pages just to include them all. Not all are warm and fuzzy stories. Some convictions come from very painful situations. But, I wouldn't have any room to grow stronger in my faith if I didn't experience a little pain. What's most important to remember is that God is with you always - no matter what life brings. Which reminds me of another song I really love: Jesus Bring the Rain. Here is an awesome video version of this song from Youtube.
